Pozdravljam mesec Rakova i laganih letnjih haljina!

A Keri? Pa, Keri nije mogao biti svako. Ona je komplikovana, šarmantna, nepopravljivi romantik. Keri ruši granice tabu tema i oslobađa našu feminstičku stranu ništa manje no kroz priču iskrenog ženskog prijateljstva (za neke i dalje urbana legenda).

Iskrene emocije. Neustrašivu ženstvenost. Neumornu potragu za onim što vas pokreće. Ukradite najbolje i od Šarlot, Samante, Mirande.. Najbolje od majke, sestre i drugarice. Rastite zajedno.

Do sledećeg čitanja,

Andrea

I have already written about wrap dresses, and also have developed a kind of obsession for them since that post, because they’re unbelievably easy to style. Just what I need right now, since I kind of don’t feel like investing too much effort into choosing outfits at the moment. I welcome the month of Cancer and light summer dresses!
As I ponder on what might be a good subject to write about I can’t help but think about those nights from the iconic Sex and the City TV show. You know, when you hear the voice of Carrie Bradshaw in the background, while she easily finds just the right words to write her quote-worthy column. Hmm, just like that? Although I do not identify with her at all (I am more for Upper East Side and Gossip Girl kind-a-gal, I wish), my thoughts bring me back to some careless days.

We were assigned roles: Charlotte, Samantha, Miranda … But what about Carrie? Well, not anyone can be Carrie obviously. She is a complicated, charming, an irreconcilable romantic. Kerry breaks the taboos and awakens our feminist side no less but through the story of honest friendship between women (some still don’t believe this is possible). She sips her Cosmopolitan, sacrifices meals for Vogue and can’t resist a good pair of shoes. Nothing stands in between her and her love for fashion, not even empty pockets. Nothing stands between her and love, period.

And all of us secretly wanted to be Carrie, whichever role was assigned to us and we turned a blind eye to her being unrealistically irresponsible. And that’s OK. Learn from her. From her emotion. Her fearless femininity. And her tireless dream quest. Learn from Charlotte, Samantha, Miranda .. Learn from your mother, your sister, and your friend. Grow together. Be there for each other. And do not forget the most important lesson:

“They say that nothing lasts forever. Dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.”

Today I’m wearing a redesigned wrap dress from the Burda Style magazine 05/2017 112A and non-Manolo Blahnik platforms … but hey, maybe someday 🙂

Kisses,

Andrea
